Hiscox has appointed Chris Loake (pictured), who was previously working in private banking, as the group’s chief information officer.
He will be based in London and report to Stéphane Flaquet, group chief operations and technology officer.
Loake joins Bermuda-registered Hiscox from private bank C. Hoare & Co, where he was chief technology and operations Officer with responsibility for implementing a number of critical changes in the bank’s digital infrastructure. He has over 20 years of technology experience and has led teams across a wide range of organisations including Close Brothers and Experian.
Commenting on his appointment, Flaquet said: “I’m looking forward to working with Chris when he joins later in the year. We will benefit from his proven track record of strategic delivery and leadership skills. Chris will lead an already strong team of 350 IT professionals, delivering innovative solutions for our customers and ensuring we make the most of the opportunities ahead.”
