Fitch affirms and withdraws Markel’s ratings
Fitch Ratings has affirmed and withdrawn the 'A+' (strong) insurer financial strength ratings of the operating subsidiaries of Markel Group.
Among the subsidiaries to have their rating affirmed and withdrawn was Markel Bermuda Ltd.
Fitch last reviewed Markel's ratings on October 26, 2022. The rating outlook was stable.
The ratings were withdrawn for commercial reasons, Fitch said.
Fitch said the affirmation of Markel Group's ratings reflected the company's favourable company profile, strong balance sheet capitalisation, with reasonable financial leverage, strong financial performance and strong investments and liquidity.
