Everest makes promotion as it targets growth in E&S primary casualty

Everest Insurance has appointed Michael Cipolla as head of the excess and surplus (E&S) primary casualty unit.

Cipolla has been with Everest for almost five years and was most recently vice president, E&S casualty, leading the expansion of the wholesale portfolio in the Southeast region.

In his new role he is responsible for developing the product portfolio and leading the continued growth of primary casualty business in the wholesale space. He remains in the Atlanta office, reporting to Michael Finnegan, Everest’s head of E&S casualty.

Finnegan called Cipolla “a diligent contributor and a natural leader,” and pointed to Everest’s more than two decade track record in the E&S space.

“Our E&S team has fostered meaningful relationships with our wholesale trading partners, supported by deep domain expertise, a solid balance sheet and a strong track record of claims paying experience,” he added.
