Enstar Group CFO Wolf steps down after five months
Enstar Group has announced that Zack Wolf has stepped down as chief financial officer just months after taking on the role.
Wolf, who is to pursue other opportunities, will remain in place available for a transition period ending 30 September.
He was appointed CFO in March, having joined Enstar in September 2020 as deputy chief financial officer to succeed Guy Bowker. Wolf joined the group after seven years at AmTrust Financial Services where he was latterly executive vice president, strategic development – mergers & acquisitions.
He will be replaced on an interim basis by Enstar COO Orla Gregory who has been named acting CFO. She will be supported by chief accounting officer Michael Murphy who will serve as deputy CFO.
Enstar veteran Gregory – who joined the company 18 years ago – has been COO since 2016 and previously served as chief integration officer and in executive M&A position since 2009.
Murphy, meanwhile, joined Enstar in May and was most recently CFO and chief accounting officer at TriNet Group and previously chief accounting officer of QBE North America in a career spanning 30 years.
Dominic Silvester, Enstar’s chief executive, said: “Orla is a trusted adviser to the board and is well-positioned to serve as acting chief financial officer given her strong accounting and finance background in combination with her significant knowledge of our business and experience managing our global operations.
“She will work closely with Mike Murphy to lead our talented Finance group, and I have great confidence in the collective strength of this team.”
He added: “We extend thanks to Zack for his contribution and wish him well.”
