Endurance appoints global property insurance lead

Bermuda-based Endurance has appointed Richard Housley as executive vice president and global property insurance lead.

He will be responsible for launching Endurance’s property business in London as well as building the company’s property insurance book in the Americas and globally, alongside Doug Worman, CEO of US insurance.

Housley will be general manager for Endurance’s London office and will report to Graham Evans, CEO of international insurance.

Housley joins from ANV’s Lloyd’s syndicate, having previously held positions at Flagstone and AXIS.

Commenting on the appointment, Evans says: "Richard has an exceptional reputation as a skilled underwriter along with extensive relationships across the primary brokers serving this market.”

“Under his leadership, we will no doubt quickly establish Endurance as a meaningful player in the London property market and significantly enhance our offerings and prominence in the key property insurance markets around the world."
