Private equity firms Cinven and British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) have completed their acquisition of Compre, the international specialist legacy group.
Cinven and BCI are now Compre’s majority shareholders, alongside Compre’s management team, who remain in their roles and as minority shareholders.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Clarke, the former chief executive officer (CEO) of PartnerRe, and Frank Koster, the former CEO of AXA Belgium, will join Compre’s board as non-executive directors. Clarke also assumes the position of group chairman.
Compre chief executive officer Will Bridger said: “With Cinven and BCI’s support and investment I look forward to bringing the client-centric approach Compre has built its reputation on across all our markets, making Compre the industry’s legacy partner of choice.”
