Chubb promotes exec to lead P&C insurance in LatAm

Chubb has named a new head of property and casualty (P&C) for its general insurance operations in Latin America.

Marc Poliquin is currently senior vice president and professional indemnity product head at Chubb. He has more than 27 years of insurance industry experience, having joined the company, then named ACE, in 2004. He has served in a number of senior management roles in the commercial property and casualty business. Before joining Chubb he held a variety of roles at GE Capital.

Poliquin succeeds Pablo Korze, who is leaving the company to pursue other opportunities. He assumes oversight of product, business development, underwriting operations, and overall profit and loss performance for Chubb’s P&C insurance businesses in LatAm.

Poliquin reports to Marcos Gunn, SVP at Chubb Group and regional president for Latin America, and Timothy O’Donnell, vice president of Chubb Group and division president for commercial P&C for overseas general insurance.

Gunn said Poliquin’s “experience and proven track record in specialty P&C, reinsurance, and underwriting, coupled with his knowledge of the Latin America region, make him a perfect fit for this role.”
