Chubb names division president for global markets business

Jason Keen has been named as division president of Chubb Global Markets.

Keen, who will take up his new post in the new year, will be responsible for the leadership, strategy and performance of Chubb Global Markets, which comprises Chubb's London wholesale and specialty businesses, including the company's Lloyd's platform.

He succeeds Matthew Shaw, who is leaving the company, and will report to David Furby, regional president of Chubb European Group.

Keen joined ACE, which became Chubb, in 2010, as regional property underwriter for Asia Pacific, assuming overall responsibility for the property and casualty portfolio in Asia Pacific in 2016. Before that he worked for Lloyd's syndicates Talbot Underwriting and Ascot Underwriting.

Juan Luis Ortega, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of overseas general insurance, said Keen’s “strong underwriting acumen is a distinguishing feature of his success to date and aligns perfectly with our Chubb Global Markets tradition of underwriting discipline and consistent results.”

David Furby, senior vice president of Chubb Group and regional president of the European Group, added that he brings a wealth of insurance knowledge and business leadership experience to the role.

Keen’s appointment is subject to regulatory approval.
