Carne joins HSCM Bermuda board of advisors

Hudson Structured Capital Management and HSCM Bermuda Management Company have announced that Jason Carne will be joining the firm as an advisor and will focus on valuation and reinsurance.

Carne lives in Hamilton, Bermuda and was a managing director with KPMG in Bermuda for almost 20 years and was the founder and leader of their insurance linked securities practice. He also serves as a non-executive director for a number of Bermuda reinsurance companies. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales, a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda and is also a qualified associate in reinsurance.

“I am truly excited to be joining the board of advisors of Hudson Structured Capital Management,” said Carne. “I have been following them with interest for a while now and I’m a firm believer that the next step for ILS is to bring a fuller spectrum of reinsurance risk and opportunities, including property, casualty and long term business, to the third party capital markets.”

Carne joins David Cash, former CEO of Endurance Specialty Holdings and a current and founding board member of the Bermuda Business Development Agency, and Rich Carbone, former CFO of Prudential Financial and current Director for both E*Trade and Resolution Life, as Reinsurance Advisors.
