BILTIR appoints Kevin Hovi to its board of directors

Bermuda International Long Term Insurers and Reinsurers (BILTIR) has appointed Kevin Hovi to its board of directors.

Hovi is president and chief financial officer of Kuvare Life Re, before which he was chief financial officer at Longitude Re. He has also worked at XL Catlin, most-recently as senior vice president and senior portfolio manager.

BILTIR chair Sylvia Oliveira pointed to Hovi’s financial markets background and Bermuda insurance experience as valuable assets for the BILTIR board. “He has been a solid contributor on various BILTIR committees over the years,” she added.

BILTIR represents 65 long-term insurance, reinsurance and servicing companies in Bermuda who provide life and annuity products and employ 725 people on the island.
