BF&M launches new scholarship

Bermudian insurer BF&M has launched the BF&M Postgraduate John Wight Scholarship, in honour of former chairman and CEO, John Wight.

The $20,000 scholarship is designed to help residents realise their postgraduate academic goals. It is open to Bermudians and holders of Permanent Resident’s Certificates who are pursuing a postgraduate degree or diploma in any field.

Abigail Clifford, group president and CEO said: “At BF&M, we believe that everyone should have access to higher education. Given the value John placed on community and education, it was fitting to create our first BF&M scholarship for Bermuda in his honour."

Wight said: “Education is very important to me and I look forward to meeting with the scholarship recipient.”
