Axis Re to open Dubai office after license approval

Axis Re, the subsidiary of re/insurer Axis Capital has been granted a license by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) to open a representative office in the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The Dubai office will focus on marketing accident and health specialty reinsurance in the Middle East and Africa.

The licence was awarded to the firm on December 8, 2015.

Axis Re is a composite reinsurance company headquartered in Ireland, which is authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland to carry on non-life and life reinsurance business.
