AXIS Re appoints Lloyd’s casualty underwriter

AXIS Re has strengthened its global markets team with the appointment of Lisa Hiscock as senior underwriter for Lloyd’s casualty.

Hiscock has more than ten years of experience in the industry. She joins AXIS Re from AXA XL where she spent five years, having started her career at Hiscox in London as an underwriter within the specialty team.

More recently she has been working in Australia, focusing on crisis management lines, with a broad remit of classes and line management responsibilities. In her new role she remains in Australia, with a view to transferring to the UK later in 2021, underwriting Lloyd’s casualty treaty business and supporting both existing partnerships and new growth opportunities.

Joe Sweeting, head of Lloyd’s casualty for AXIS Re, praised Hiscock’s “unique blend of experience in the industry” and in particular her background working across a number of classes and geographies.
