AXIS names Max Perkins as head of strategy and innovation in its cyber and tech unit

AXIS Insurance has appointed Max Perkins to the newly created role of head of strategy and innovation in its global cyber and technology unit.

Perkins is based in the US and reports to Dan Trueman, global head of cyber and technology for AXIS Insurance.

Perkins provides thought leadership in cyber and technology underwriting and risk transfer. He is responsible for ensuring AXIS develops innovative and effective products, and will help develop resources to expand cyber insurance training services.

He joins from Lockton Companies where he was senior vice president, focused on risk transfer and placement strategy in cyber, technology errors and omissions, media, and miscellaneous professional liability. He also developed non-physical damage business interruption and intangible risk insurance products. In a career spanning nearly 15 years, Perkins has served a number of re/insurers, including AIG, Beazley and Chubb.
