AXA XL promotes Nigel Williams to VP and senior excess casualty underwriter

AXA XL has promoted Nigel Williams to vice president and senior underwriter for excess casualty in Bermuda. He will be responsible for developing and managing underwriting strategies for both renewals and new business within AXA XL’s excess casualty portfolio. He will focus on energy, construction and general casualty accounts, as well as building and enhancing relationships with brokers and clients.

Williams has been with AXA XL for over two decades, joining as an IT applications trainer in 1999 before transferring to underwriting in 2002. Most recently, he was assistant vice president and casualty underwriter.

Vivienne Moniz, AXA XL head of excess casualty for Bermuda, said: “With over 22 years of industry experience, Nigel has significant expertise in his field, and we are excited that he has agreed to take on these new responsibilities. His extensive industry knowledge and experience is an asset to our excess casualty team as well as to our clients and brokers.”
