AXA XL Insurance has appointed Jean-Marc Radureau as underwriting manager for construction in France.
Radureau was previously risk consulting director for marine, energy and construction at AXA XL Risk Consulting. He has more than 25 years of experience in insurance, having joined AXA in 1989, and started underwriting construction risks for AXA Global Risks in 1995.
He has also held a number of leadership roles at SMABTP and Munich Re, but rejoined AXA in 2013 as head of property - engineering at AXA Global P&C. He was later appointed as vice president and chief underwriting officer for Latam at AXA Corporate Solutions in Brazil.
Julien Guénot, country leader for France at AXA XL, said: “Despite 2020 being a transition year due to COVID-19, the French construction sector had been steadily growing these last few years and was worth €148 billion in 2019, according to the French Federation of Construction (FFB).”
Brigitte Sartorius, underwriting manager for property, construction and energy, added: “From high rise buildings to industrial sites, our clients are involved in a very wide range of construction projects and require flexible solutions, as well as deep underwriting expertise.”
