AXA XL appoints new excess casualty underwriter

AXA XL has appointed Christine Snyderhas to its Bermuda insurance excess casualty team as vice president, senior underwriter. Prior to joining AXA XL, Snyder held progressively senior roles at Chubb (formerly ACE), most recently executive underwriter of excess casualty construction.

At AXA XL, her responsibilities include delivering profitable underwriting service to clients; developing and managing underwriting strategies for both renewed and new business within AXA XL’s excess casualty portfolio, primarily construction, energy and general casualty accounts; and building and maintaining relationships with brokers and clients while identifying and establishing new distribution relationships.

Vivienne Moniz, head of excess casualty at AXA XL in Bermuda, said Snyderhas’ “construction industry knowledge, strategic marketing and underwriting experience in US metro hubs such as New York and the MidAtlantic region, and cultivated relationships with brokers on the US East Coast will further enhance our service to clients and broker partnerships”.
