Aspen Bermuda CEO to head McGill and Partners operation

McGill and Partners has received regulatory approval and will open a Bermuda operation this month, the specialist re/insurance broker has announced. Kate Vacher, CEO of Bermuda and group underwriting director at Aspen Insurance Group, will lead the new operation.

Vacher has 25 years’ experience working in the London and Bermuda markets and 17 years with Aspen. Before that, she was a property reinsurance underwriter for Wellington Underwriting Agencies-Syndicate in London.

Launched in May 2019, McGill and Partners already has offices in London, New York, Miami and Dublin and employs over 360 people. Its core business includes aviation and aerospace, complex property and casualty, financial lines and special risks, structured solutions, treaty reinsurance and facultative reinsurance.
