Aspen appoints Liberty exec as SVP of energy and construction

Aspen Insurance, the insurance segment of Bermuda-based Aspen Insurance Holdings, has appointed Daniel Murphy as senior vice president (SVP) of energy and construction.

Murphy will report to Robert Rokicki, head of onshore energy & construction for the Americas. He will be based in Chicago and will focus on driving growth across the US.

Murphy has nearly 30 years of experience as a chemical engineer and underwriter. He joins Aspen from Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), where he was vice president, focusing on energy, power generation, construction, and heavy industry.
