Aspen appoints Kevin Chidwick as group CFO
Aspen Insurance Holdings has appointed Kevin Chidwick as group chief financial officer.
Chidwick, who takes up his position on May 1, succeeds Scott Kirk, who will leave Aspen on April 30 to pursue opportunities outside of the company. He will report to Mark Cloutier, executive chairman and group chief executive officer.
Chidwick was previously chief financial officer at financial advice network Openwork, a position he held since March 2018. He also served as chief financial officer of Admiral Group from September 2005 to August 2014, joining the Admiral Group board in 2006.
He also held other senior roles at Admiral Group, including chief executive officer of Elephant Auto Insurance in the US from January 2012 to March 2017, growing annual revenue from $17 million to $200 million. He also served as chief executive officer at Confused.com from November 2010 to December 2011.
Cloutier described Chidwick as “an extremely accomplished financial services executive”, praising the breadth of his experience. “His proven track record of growing businesses through his strategic insights and strong financial acumen make him an exciting hire for Aspen at this time in our evolution,” he added.
