Argo Group appoints new MD for Ariscom
Argo Group International Holdings has appointed Giovanni Tucci as managing director of Ariscom following its recent acquisition by Argo Group in March 2018.
Tucci takes up his role on April 30 and will report to Matt Harris, head of Europe, Middle East and Asia.
“We are delighted to have Giovanni join us to lead the growth of Argo’s new Italian business,” said Harris. “His vast insurance experience, leadership capabilities and market knowledge will contribute, along with Argo Group’s cutting-edge digital solutions, to the creation of a market-leading platform. We have extensive ambitions for the Italian marketplace, and Giovanni’s appointment takes us a step closer to achieving them.”
Tucci joins Argo from Intesa Sanpaolo Assicura, where he served as technical director. In this role, he was responsible for driving profitability across all business lines; managing product development, pricing and underwriting policy; and launching the business’s SME unit.
Prior to this, Tucci spent 13 years with AXA Group, in a number of executive roles in distribution, marketing, underwriting and operations in Italy and the Mediterranean region. He began his career in London working for Tillinghast, a primary consulting firm specializing in insurance and risk management.
