Arch Capital Group reveals new chief risk officer

Arch Capital Group has appointed Janice Englesbe as senior vice president, chief risk officer (CRO).

Englesbe has over 25 years of experience in property and casualty reinsurance. As well as being principal of Englesbe Consulting, she has previously served as group deputy chief risk officer of General Re.

She will be based in Arch's Bermuda office and report to François Morin, executive vice president and chief financial officer.

“Janice brings a wealth of experience and demonstrated ability to implement practical results,” Morin said. “I’m looking forward to the unique perspective and leadership she will bring to Arch.”

In 2015 and 2016, Englesbe was selected as one of sister title Intelligent Insurer's 100 influential women in the re/insurance industry.
