Arch bolsters London healthcare team

Arch Capital subsidiary Arch Insurance International has appointed Alex Clark as a senior underwriter for healthcare. Based in London and reporting to head of healthcare James Barrett, Clark will focus on providing underwriting solutions for large hospitals and health systems.

Arch’s London Market Healthcare Insurance team offers lead or excess layer solutions across hospital professional liability, physician professional liability, general liability and umbrella liability, among other lines. It primarily covers US national and regional health systems, stand-alone hospitals, paediatric hospitals, long-term care facilities and physician groups.

Clark joins Arch from Lloyd’s broker Tysers, where he was an associate director in its London Healthcare team. He has also worked at Guy Carpenter, JLT Group and Benfield Group.
