Aon names chairman of UK reinsurance business

Aon has appointed Don Magee as UK chairman of its reinsurance business.

He is responsible for supporting the UK CEO, Nick Frankland, in developing Aon’s business and client strategies, in conjunction with its growth and UK leadership teams, and is focussed on client strategies and production, handling some of the group’s largest global clients.

In recent years he has played a role in developing bespoke capacity for the needs of composite buyers.

Magee came into Aon via Benfield, Lovick & Rees, which he joined in 1991. Before that he was at Hall, Harford Jeffreys International, Thomas R Miller (Energy) and Newman, Martin and Buchan
