Nayms appoints head of capital markets

Insurtech Nayms, which recently became the world’s first crypto-native insurance marketplace to be fully regulated in Bermuda, has appointed Nick Zagoreos as its head of capital markets.

Zagoreos, who has worked at Lazard, GLG Partners, Third Point Re, and his own capital raising and advisory firm, Korthi Capital, will be working with crypto-venture firms, hedge funds and family offices for Nayms.

Nayms said Zagoreos will be responsible for supporting its insurance partners with their capital raising efforts to expand their on-chain balance-sheets, as well as scaling the available capacity on Nayms for new programmes.

Adam Adamson, head of business development at Nayms, said: “Nick will bring a vast amount of insurance capital raising expertise to Nayms and our Nayms business partners. His successful track record of capital raising for insurance companies will be a huge asset to Nayms, helping us introduce insurance as an asset class to the crypto community.”
