Lyons heads up new Bermuda insurtech firm

Former Weston Insurance founder and CEO Michael Lyons it to head up a new Bermuda-based insurtech start-up, Swiftly.

The business has also brought in several other experienced re/insurance players, including former deputy CEO of Convex Re Heather Kitson as its chief operating officer and general counsel, and Joelle Turner, formerly Sompo International, as VP and controller.

Dmitry Mnushkin, president of Treefrog Consulting and a former applications developer at Renaissance Re, is the start-up’s chief technology officer. winner of Bermuda’s 2019 Technology Innovation Award

With operations in Bermuda and the US, focused on driving down insurance costs while improving customer experience through an “innovative technology ecosystem”.
