Lockton Re appoints Cyber Practice leader

Lockton Re has appointed Oliver Brew in a new role as Cyber Practice leader in London. Brew joins from CyberCube where he most recently served as head of Client Success as part of that company’s leadership team. He began his career with WTW, before joining CFC Underwriting as a technology underwriting manager.

After serving just over four years at CFC Underwriting, Brew joined Hiscox as an underwriter, before serving in a variety of leadership roles at Hiscox USA. He also previously held various roles at Liberty International Underwriters, which included serving as SVP & Head of E&O.

Keith Harrison, International chief executive officer at Lockton Re said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Oli to our fast-growing global cyber platform. He will work closely with the team in London as well as our cyber experts in Bermuda and North America. We see increasing demand around the globe for cyber advice and expertise and over the last three years have been building a best-in-class global cyber reinsurance client offering. Oli will be joining us in London during November and him joining Lockton Re is testament to our ongoing and substantial commitment to the Cyber Reinsurance space.”

Paul Upton, head of Specialty at Lockton Re, added: “Oli is a critical addition to our Cyber capability in London and globally. This is such a specialised and developing segment, where clients are looking for Lockton Re to deliver insight and capacity equal to their ambitions. We are looking forward to working with Oli when he joins us next month.”

Lockton Re announced last month that it had launched Lockton Re Capital Markets, a dedicated specialist arm for capital markets and ILS activities.
