I-RE strengthens Bermuda leadership with two senior hires, names Simon Long MD

Captive specialist insurance and reinsurance underwriter I-RE has reinforced its Bermuda leadership team with the appointments of Simon Long as managing director and Charles Kittrell in a senior role, reflecting confidence in the firm’s future growth.

Simon Long steps in as managing director of I–RE and Charles Kittrell  in underwriting operations. 

The senior hires mark a key moment in the company’s evolution, reflecting strong recent growth and ambitious plans for 2026, I-Re said.

Long steps into the managing director role at the heart of I–RE’s development and will be playing a central role in continuing to build the company to take it to the next level. He is joined by Kittrell, who was appointed after progressing through the organisation as an analyst.
