Fortitude Re appoints chief human resources officer

Global multi-line reinsurer Fortitude Re has appointed Denise Nichols as chief human resources officer.

Most recently, Nichols served as the chief human resources officer for Voya Health and Wealth Solutions, where she was responsible for human capital strategy, talent acquisition, leadership development, inclusion and diversity.

Nichols succeeds Amanda Stewart, who will be assuming the role of senior vice president, employee experience reporting to Nichols. In this new role, Stewart will be responsible for Fortitude Re’s strategy to deliver an employee experience that is engaging, enriching and rewarding.

Prior to joining Voya Health and Wealth Solutions, she served in various roles at Marsh & McLennan Companies including head of human resources for Marsh US, head of global talent acquisition and chief administrative officer for Marsh Global Specialties.
