Former Guy Carpenter CEO joins IQUW board

Former Guy Carpenter chief executive officer Peter Hearn has been appointed as an independent non-executive director of the IQUW Holdings Bermuda.

The property and specialty insurer said Hearn is widely recognised as a visionary leader and brings over four decades of experience in the global insurance and reinsurance broker sector, including as Marsh McLennan vice chair.

Hearn’s appointment follows the addition of Ed Noonan, former chairman and CEO of Validus Holdings who joined the IQUW Board last year.

"Together, Hearn and Noonan represent two of the most influential figures in the industry, further strengthening IQUW’s expertise by offering a diverse range of perspectives on market dynamics and client needs," the company said.

"Their counsel will be instrumental as IQUW adapts to the evolving risk landscape, providing an additional view on the company’s strategic direction."

Peter Bilsby, IQUW group chief executive officer, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Peter Hearn to our board of directors and excited to enhance it with another industry leader of Peter’s calibre. His experience, particularly in client solutions, will bring additional insights and an innovative outlook as we continue to grow and evolve.”

Hearn said: “I am honoured to join the Board and work alongside Kevin Kelley, Bob Deutsch, Ed Noonan and other members of this talented team. The industry is undergoing rapid change. I look forward to contributing my experience and collaborating with the leadership team to help drive the company’s vision and deliver value to clients and stakeholders.”
