Fidelis taps Arch for group COO

Bermuda-based Fidelis Insurance has appointed former Arch Capital executive Jason Kittinger as its group chief operating officer. 

Kittinger, formerly chief operating officer and chief financial officer at Arch Insurance International, succeeds Denise Brown-Bach, who was group COO and UK chief executive officer. She will continue in her UK CEO role.  

The specialty re/insurer said Kittinger, who is based in London, will report to Fidelis Insurance chief executive officer, Dan Burrows, and will serve as a member of the Company’s senior leadership team.

 “We are thrilled to welcome Jason into the group chief operating officer role,” said Burrows. “Jason brings a wealth of experience and has a proven track record in financial leadership and operational excellence. I am excited for Jason to apply his knowledge and expertise to Fidelis Insurance Group, which will further strengthen our operating processes. 

 “I would also like express our deepest gratitude to Denise Brown-Brach, who has diligently served as both the UK Chief Executive Officer and the Group Chief Operating Officer since 2023.  With Jason joining, Denise will focus on her vital role as UK Chief Executive Officer.”

Kittinger, who has over 20 years of insurance industry experience, became CFO of Arch Insurance International in 2014 and COO in 2021.
