Conyers strengthens local talent pipeline with return of Tashae Trott
Bermuda-based law firm Conyers has welcomed back Tashae Trott (pictured) to its corporate and commercial practice, strengthening its re/insurance capabilities.
Trott has rejoined the firm as an associate in the Bermuda corporate practice having previously worked at the firm as a pupil in September 2021, gaining experience in the corporate, private client & trust and litigation practices.
She successfully completed her pupillage and was called to the Bermuda Bar in October 2022, qualifying into the firm’s litigation team. As an associate in the litigation practice, Trott worked on an array of matters, both contentious and non-contentious.
More recently, Trott worked as an associate at Marshall Diel & Myers, another Bermuda law firm, specialising in civil and commercial litigation and expanding her expertise across a broad range of practice areas, including regulatory, insolvency and contractual disputes.
Trott has now transitioned to practising corporate law and looks forward to developing her practice, Conyers said. She is eager to leverage her litigation background to support clients across a wide spectrum of corporate and commercial matters, with a particular focus on insurance and reinsurance.
Trott said: “I am honoured to return to Conyers, where my legal journey first began. The firm has played a pivotal role in my professional development, and I’m excited to advance my practice and contribute meaningfully while working alongside such an exceptional team”.
Marcello Ausenda, head of the Bermuda corporate practice, said: “We are delighted to welcome Tashae back to Conyers as a member of our market-leading corporate team. Her return reflects our continued commitment to developing top-tier Bermudian talent. We remain focused on our ambition to grow our expanding team with exceptional Bermudian lawyers like Tashae.”
