Conduit Re names three senior property underwriters from PartnerRe

Conduit Re has appointed a trio from PartnerRe, naming Aaron Coates as head of property, Mark Mitchell as head of US property and Dacotah Baksh as property underwriter, strengthening its property reinsurance capabilities across the US and global markets.

Coates brings more than 25 years of reinsurance and retrocession experience across the Bermuda, London and insurance-linked securities markets, most recently as SVP and senior underwriter, global catastrophe. In his new role, he will oversee Conduit Re’s property portfolio and team.

Mitchell has more than 15 years of experience in the reinsurance industry in Bermuda, with his most recent role being SVP and lead underwriter, North America catastrophe. He will oversee Conduit Re’s US property portfolio.

Baksh brings more than eight years of reinsurance experience in Bermuda, most recently from her role as AVP and underwriter in PartnerRe’s global catastrophe portfolio team.
