Bermuda formations slow for Summer
Bermuda formations slowed somewhat in July to eight new registrations, according to statistics from the Bermuda Monetary Authority.
July formations were a real mix, from an agent and a broker, through to two multi-owner captives and a special purpose insurer (SPI).
The sharp spike in SPIs appears to have slowed—in all likelihood thanks to most players having established such vehicles in the preceding months—but the figures show the broad scope of insurance interest in the potential of Bermuda.
