Artex adds Michael Kenny and Andrew Hanley to capital solutions advisory team

Artex Capital Solutions has appointed Michael Kenny (pictured) as senior vice president and Andrew Hanley as assistant vice president, expanding its advisory capabilities for insurers, reinsurers and alternative capital participants across the reinsurance and risk transfer markets.

Kenny brings more than 15 years of insurance management experience across Dublin and Bermuda. Hanley joins as assistant vice president, having transitioned from Artex’s insurance management business. Hanley’s appointment is subject to applicable immigration approval.

Kenny will lead complex client engagements across the reinsurance and alternative capital markets, while Hanley will support advisory projects focused on capital, regulatory and strategic initiatives.

The team advises on regulatory authorisation, capital planning, operational setup, governance and customised risk transfer solutions. The new appointments will work alongside Artex specialists across Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and London, combining advisory, actuarial, governance and operational expertise.

“The addition of Michael and Andrew deepens the expertise and advisory support we provide to clients across the reinsurance and alternative capital markets,” said Ben Wright, managing director of Artex Capital Solutions.

“As demand for sophisticated risk and capital solutions continues to grow, expanding our advisory capabilities ensures we can support clients from formation and authorization through optimization and long-term growth.

Combined with our actuarial, governance, and operational expertise, this enables us to provide clients with a comprehensive approach to building and managing successful risk and capital structures.”

Kathleen Faries, CEO of Artex Capital Solutions, added: “The future of ILS will be driven by organizations that can combine capital, analytics, regulation, and innovation to solve increasingly complex risk challenges. Building that kind of multidisciplinary expertise is critical to the next stage of market growth.”
