Arch Re names Soares and Schriber CEOs of Bermuda and US businesses

Arch Reinsurance Group has promoted William Soares and Jon Schriber to chief executive officer roles, strengthening leadership across its Bermuda and US reinsurance operations.

Soares has been named chief executive officer of Arch Reinsurance in Bermuda, while Schriber has been appointed chief executive officer of Arch Reinsurance Company in the US. Both appointments are effective immediately, with the executives reporting to Jerome Halgan, chief executive officer of Arch’s Global Reinsurance Group.

Soares joined Arch in 2006 and has held a series of increasingly senior roles within the Bermuda reinsurance business. He has served as president of Arch Reinsurance since 2025. Schriber joined the company in 2023 as president of Arch Reinsurance Company, where he has helped expand the group's US reinsurance portfolio.

Halgan said the pair had played key roles in the growth of Arch’s reinsurance business and were well positioned to build on the company's underwriting capabilities and client relationships.

He added: “William and Jon are outstanding leaders who have played significant roles in the success and growth of our reinsurance business. Their deep expertise, strong relationships and commitment to underwriting excellence position them well to further establish Arch Re as the leading, global reinsurer of choice.”
