Arch Insurance promotes new head of third-party claims
Arch Insurance International has promoted Laura Brahams to head of third-party claims.
Brahams will be responsible for overseeing the third-party claims function which includes Casualty, Cyber, Financial Lines, Healthcare, Intangible Assets and Professional Liability. Based in London, she will report to Barbara Rizzi, chief claims officer.
Her appointment follows the recent promotion of Rizzi to chief claims officer. Brahams, who joined Bermuda-based Arch in 2015 and was most recently financial lines claims manager, has over 18 years’ insurance experience. Prior to joining Arch, she worked for various law firms including Kennedys Law LLP and is a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
Brahams is the current Chair of the International Underwriting Association’s Professional Lines Claims Committee and is also the Co-Chair of the Arch Insurance International Culture Committee which works to ensure a positive workplace culture throughout the company.
Commenting on the announcement, Rizzi said: “Laura’s promotion is very much a natural progression. She has continued to demonstrate her strong technical and leadership skills as well as her dedication to service excellence since joining Arch.
"In her new role, she will lead a high-performing team of claims professionals which I’m sure will continue to thrive under her leadership as we remain committed to delivering a superior customer-focused experience for every claim that we manage.”
