LCM appoints Pradip Ghosh as president

Lockton Companies has appointed Pradip Ghosh as president of Lockton Capital Markets (LCM).

Ghosh was previously a senior advisor at LCM. He has over 20 years of experience in the insurance, financial services, and asset management industries, having started his career at Lehman Brothers, helping to create Lehman Re, a Bermuda-based reinsurance company.

Ghosh’s career has focused on opportunities related to the convergence between the alternative asset management industry and both the life and annuity and property and casualty insurance sectors. He has previously served as a managing director at Ares Management where his primary responsibility was to originate, execute and monitor the company's principal investments in the insurance space. Before that he worked at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, originating, structuring and executing public and private capital markets transactions with insurance companies, commercial banks and pension funds.

At LCM he works closely with Ken Pierce, LCM’s chief executive, providing direction and oversight to the group.

Pierce highlighted Ghosh’s track record of innovation and execution, and his deep industry knowledge, as assets that he said will keep LCM “at the cutting edge of the convergence marketplace for years to come."

Ghosh said LCM’s goal is to execute transactions where its technical expertise, industry knowledge, and strategic relationships are fully utilised to maximise outcomes for clients. “We have a strong conviction that the convergence of these industries will continue and that LCM, along with the Lockton Companies' global platform, will be at the forefront in offering differentiated services to our partners and clients,” he said.
