Aspen hires HR chief as it accelerates cultural change

Aspen Insurance has appointed Mohinder Kang as chief people officer, leading an HR team that has a renewed focus on its human capital as it looks to continue accelerating cultural change.

Kang joins from the UK’s Post Office where he was group HR director, responsible for more than 4,500 employees. He also previously served in various HR and communications roles at ERS Insurance Group, Hyperion Insurance Group and QBE Insurance Group.

Kang, who is based in London, also joins Aspen’s executive committee.

Mark Cloutier, executive chairman and group CEO, welcomed Kang’s experience in the insurance sector and the fresh perspective he brings to the role.

“Aspen is a people business and driving a people agenda focused on our core principles and values, including our diversity and inclusion efforts, is critically important to our success,” said Cloutier.

“Our new corporate values and principles – based on mutual respect, diversity, investing in people, and collaboration – are now embedded at the heart of the company,” he added.
