Stephen Pett joins Aon’s reinsurance solutions team in Bermuda

Stephen Pett is set to join Aon’s reinsurance solutions business in Bermuda.

Pett joins Aon on September 15 as a vice president and broker, focusing on industry loss warranties and other specialty reinsurance products.

He joins Aon from Nephila Capital where he has been a senior member of its underwriting team since January 2016. In that role he was involved in global property catastrophe reinsurance underwriting and industry loss warranty trading, and assisted in underwriting planning, deal approval, and team management.

Pett has also held positions at Ariel Re, Flagstone Re and Montpelier Re, and has more than 15 years of analytics and underwriting experience.

At Aon Pett reports to Tony Fox, chairman and chief executive of reinsurance solutions in Bermuda.

Fox said: “[Pett’s] extensive experience across insurance-linked securities and traditional products perfectly complements Aon’s approach to providing our clients with a broad range of capital solutions and services.”

Richard Wheeler, head of non marine property/ retro for reinsurance solutions’ global specialty team, added: “Working closely with our London and global teams, [Pett] will bring together extensive resources in order that we can deliver the power of our united firm directly to our clients.”
