SiriusPoint global distribution head joins Mesa’s Edge

Dan Malloy has exited his role as president of global distribution and services at SiriusPoint, a role he had held since the merger of Third Point Re and Sirius International Insurance Group.

Effective 1 April, Malloy now works as strategic advisor at another Bermuda-based company, called Mesa’s Edge, according to his LinkedIn page.

In his most recent role with SiriusPoint, he was responsible for distribution and business development, as well as broker and client engagement. He also oversaw SiriusPoint’s runoff division.

Malloy was the CEO of Third Point until it merged with SiriusPoint a year ago. He had been with Third Point since its inception in 2012 and became its CEO in 2019.

Before joining Third Point, he co-led the specialty lines practice groups at reinsurance broker Aon Benfield.
