PartnerRe names John Mok as CEO for life & health business in Asia Pacific

John Mok will join PartnerRe in February 2021 as chief executive officer of its life and health business in Asia Pacific.

Based in Singapore, Mok will be responsible for developing and growing PartnerRe’s life and health business in the region. He will report to Marc Archambault, chief executive of life and health and group executive committee member.

Mok brings 18 years experience in the life and health re/insurance industry in Australia, Japan, China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. He joins from Swiss Re where he was most recently head of client markets in Japan, leading Swiss Re Japan’s growth strategy for both life and health and property and casualty business.

Archambault said: “We believe in the growth potential of these markets and Asia Pacific is an important part of growth plans for the life and health business.”
