New investor relations head at Canopius Group

Canopius Group has appointed Trevor Moss as head of investor relations. He’ll join in March 2022 and report to chief financial officer Gavin Phillips.

According to the business, he’ll work with investors, analysts and banks to offer Canopius an “outside-in” perspective of its market as part of its ongoing exploration of a broad range of potential, long-term investment and funding options. He will also play an important role within the wider business in areas including ESG strategy and reporting, performance management and capital planning, the business added.

Moss joins the re/insurer, which underwrites through Bermuda Canopius Reinsurance as well as Lloyd’s Syndicates 4444, a US surplus lines insurer and Canopius US Insurance from independent equity research provider Agency Partners in London, where he spent over two years as an insurance analyst.

He’s held the same position and headed teams at Berenberg, MF Global, HSBC Global Banking and Markets and Société Générale. He began his career at accountancy firm Moore Rowland.
