Marsh ILS leader joins GC Securities as SVP

GC Securities, the ILS unit of Guy Carpenter, has appointed Brendan Roche as senior vice president.

Roche previously served as global leader of the Marsh Captive Solutions centre of excellence. Here he was responsible for coordinating Marsh's services across the leading domiciles for ILS and special purpose vehicles management services, including Bermuda, Dublin, Cayman and Guernsey.

Marsh Captive Solutions has been involved in ILS for over 20 years, issuing one of the first cat bonds - Georgetown Re - in 1996. Roche joined Marsh in 2005.

Prior to Marsh, Roche was a supervisor ad International Fund Services, where he was responsible for review of daily, weekly and monthly hedge fund valuations as prepared by fund accountants.
