Liberty Specialty Markets strengthens team in Bermuda

Steven Beadle has been named chief financial officer at Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), part of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.

LSM also appointed Chen Foley as head of Bermuda claims. Both are based in Bermuda, with the promotions taking immediate effect.

Beadle joined Ironshore in 2008 and became corporate controller in 2017, before Ironshore was integrated into LSM’s Bermuda business in December last year. He will report to Steve Horton, president of LSM Bermuda, and Steve McMurray, chief financial officer of LSM.

Foley was previously head of claims for Iron-Starr. He is now responsible for bringing together the former Ironshore business lines and property claims teams, and reports to Horton and Mike Gillett, chief claims officer at LSM.

Horton said: “Both Steven and Chen have played major roles in the development of the Bermuda platform and Ironshore’s integration to LSM. The Bermuda platform continues to grow and we have recently added a reinsurance offering.”
