Liberty Specialty Markets Bermuda names new CUO

Liberty Specialty Markets Bermuda (LSM Bermuda) has promoted the head of its property unit to the role of chief underwriting officer (CUO).

Nicholas Garside is responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership for LSM Bermuda’s underwriting functions, including driving portfolio optimisation and enhancing broker engagement across all coverage lines.

In this role he reports to Steve Horton, LSM Bermuda’s president.

LSM Bermuda also promoted Joanna Din, Andrew Osborne and Daniel Rance to work in Garside’s team. Din serves as head of specialty risk, while Osborne becomes head of Bermuda healthcare. Rance assumes responsibilities as head of financial lines.
Both Garside’s and Din’s appointments are subject to regulatory approval.
