Liberty Specialty Markets appoints head of Bermuda property

Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) has named Nicholas Garside as head of Bermuda property, effective from September 1.

Garside joined Ironshore Bermuda as senior vice president of property in 2018 before it was rebranded as LSM. During his 15-year career in insurance he has worked for Novae Bermuda as deputy head of direct and facultative property, and brokered property risks for Willis in London, Sydney and Bermuda.

He reports to Steve Horton, president of LSM Bermuda, and is based in Hamilton.

Horton called Garside “an exceptionally capable executive who’s amassed considerable experience in both the Bermudian and international property markets.”
