Hiscox Re ILS gets new portfolio manager
Hiscox’s insurance linked securities (ILS) asset management arm Hiscox Re Insurance Linked Strategies has appointed Dr Ben Fox to its Bermuda-based ILS investment team as portfolio manager.
Fox was previously principal of Insurance-Linked Securities at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, which he joined in July 2014. In this role he co-managed the Plan’s ILS portfolio and was responsible for all analytics including portfolio construction and optimisation capabilities. He holds a Master’s degree in Earth Sciences and a PhD in Seismology from the University of Oxford.

The appointment is subject to Bermuda immigration approval.
