Hamilton fills new CTO role

Hamilton Insurance Group has named Venkat Krishnamoorthy its chief technology officer, a new position within the company.

Krishnamoorthy takes up his position on August 5 and will report to group CEO Pina Albo, with responsibility for developing the company’s data-driven technology strategy and execution.

Albo said Hamilton is at “a critical juncture” in its growth as the company seeks to boost efficiency and bottom line performance, while building a profitable global specialty insurance and reinsurance franchise.

“In addition to overseeing our groupwide IT team, he will ensure that our data and technology initiatives, resources, and investments support our mission of writing the future of risk,” she added.

Krishnamoorthy has almost 30 years’ experience in digital technology, software development and operations, product development and engineering. He joins from Coleman Research where he was CTO, leading the company’s digital transformation and new SAAS product development.
