Everest Re reshuffles management team with two internal promotions

Everest Re Group has named two executives to leadership roles within the reinsurance division.

Peter Bell becomes senior vice president and chief executive officer and managing director of Bermuda, subject to BMA approval.

Meanwhile, Ari Moskowitz has been appointed as senior vice president and chief operations officer.

Both men report to Jim Williamson, Everest Re group chief operating officer and head of reinsurance.

Bell joined Everest in 2003 and has more than 30 years of experience in both insurance and reinsurance roles.  He was most recently deputy managing director of Bermuda and now oversees all operations in Bermuda.

Moskowitz has 14 years of industry experience and joined Everest in 2019 as deputy chief pricing actuary for the reinsurance division.  In his newly created role, he continues to oversee reinsurance actuarial pricing and will assume responsibility for claims, while also driving operational excellence across the division and leading critical strategic initiatives.

Williamson said: “I’m delighted to have two talented reinsurance executives taking on expanded roles at Everest. Both Ari and Peter have proven track records of excellence.”
